I have 4 pets a bird, rabbit, dog and a cat, the bird is a cocktail the dog is a Staffordshire bull terrier and the rabbit is a nether-land dwarf and our cat is unknown.

The Alligator Snapping Turtle

This brilliant creature is rare and dangerous and is the prehistoric-looking alligator snapping turtle is the largest of the North American freshwater turtles, With its spiked shell, beaklike jaws, and thick, scaled tail, this species is often referred to as the "dinosaur of the turtle world." This turtle is a reptile and is a carnivore, the life span of this turtle is 20 to 70 years which is quite a long time.

This turtle is threatened in the wild, also when this turtle is in a group it is called a Bale or Dole. 

 

This turtle compared to a human (6ft) is pretty big!!
The Alligator Snapping Turtle spends most of its life in water,they can stay submerged for 40 to 50 minutes before surfacing for air.

Curious savour

Here is the news of a poor kitten

A kitten called Curious George was saved from inside a bathroom wall cavity by an elite ­earthquake rescue team.

Owner Lisa Browning, 37, was frantic after her own efforts to get to six-week-old George failed,
first she ripped off the skirting boards. Next she rang the RSPCA, but they couldn’t help,
Then she called a builder who took off the windowsill. But still no George,
So she called in firefighters but their thermal imaging cameras wouldn’t work because of the sun…

luckily the kitten was saved. Phew!!!

Its been ages since my last post so welcome back ;)
