Chinese New Year!!
 HOORAY!!!!! It was Chinese new year on Monday the 23rd  January. Now we're in the year of the  dragon...

 





















and last year was the Chinese new year for the rabbit.

Chinese new year is celebrated for 2 weeks and fifteen days, and is celebrated because Chinese New Year commemorates the turning of the zodiac and lunisolar calender, similar to New Year's Day of the Gregorian calender. Many myths and traditions unfold on Chinese New Year. It also symbolizes the rebirth and erasure of a person's past performances and allows them to start fresh. Prayers and blessings are often said to others.
