Seals
There are many different variety's of seal such as Elephant seals,Harp seals, Hawaiian monk seals, Leopard seals, Ringed seals and the Weddell seal, seals are all unique in size, shape, colour and dietary. Some EVIL people out there in north Canada beat baby seals to death with baseball clubs for fun, which is wrong.
But out of all those unique seals I'm going to write just about the Harp seal and the leopard seal.
The Leopard Seal
The Leopard seal is a very big and dangerous creature (carnivore) that feeds on warm blooded animals such as: Penguins, fish, other seals and even humans if they're hungry enough.A Leopard seal is named a Leopard seal because it has polka dots on its body,Leopard seals can also be very big as they are the size of 10 to 11ft.

A Leopard seal can also use its long sharp teeth and powerful jaws to kill smaller creatures such as: fish, squid and smaller seals.
The Leopard seal is a very dangerous animal because they snatch and eat anything Example: If there is a bird perched on the the water the Leopard seal will swim up and snatch up the bird!
So you have to be careful.A Leopard seal can swim very fast too because they have to be fast to catch their prey.As they swim up to the speed of 22mph they can pretty much catch anything simply.a leopard seal can also live for a length of 15 years and lives in in Antarctica,And though the leopard seal is known for its rich coat it has not been hunted for fur as people are to frightened of the Leopard Seal.
This seal is seen in the film happy feet when he try's to eat a penguin.
COOL FACT!
The latin name for leopard seal is Hydrurga leptonyx

The Harp Seal
The Harp seal is a cute and small creature which is white and has thick fur for winter,A harp seal can grow to the size of 5.25 to 6.25 ft,The Harp seal is a mammal and feeds on carnivore foods such as: fish and other sea creatures.A large group of Harp seals are called a rookery or a colony.Like the Arctic Hare the Harp seal has snowy white fur to blend into its habitat.
This seal like many other seals and creatures are hunted for their fur to make coats and other garments.

A baby Harp seal when born lies on the snow waiting for its mother while she goes to find food for her pup,And while the mother is gone the little baby calls for its mother with a high pitched squeaking sound.
EXCELLENT FACT!
A Harp seal's latin name is Pagophilus groenlandicus.
